Dunajec Rafting
Our facility is only 8 km away from the charming Dunajec Gorge.
Flowing through the Pieniny Mountains, the Dunajec creates a winding, rocky gorge about 9 kilometers long. The gorge is surrounded by several hundred meter high walls, whose limestone cliffs beautifully blend with the forests covering them. The unique landscape of this area attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world every year, and the rafting along the Dunajec Gorge is undoubtedly the biggest tourist attraction in the Pieniny Mountains.
The Dunajec rafting begins at the flisacka dock in Sromowce-Kąty. The rafting route has two final destinations: Szczawnica or Krościenko. The Sromowce Kąty – Szczawnica option is 18 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete. The route to Krościenko is longer by 5 kilometers and takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Less than 700 meters from our facility are the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle – ruins of a Gothic castle from the 14th century, located on a hill above the Dunajec within the Pieniny National Park boundaries. Currently, the castle is under the care of the Pieniny National Park. The castle grounds feature one of the Pieniny endemics – the Pieniny bumblebee.NIEDZICA CASTLE
12 km from our facility on the right bank of the lake rises the Niedzica Castle, also called "Dunajec," built on the site of an earth and rampart stronghold around 1325. The castle changed hands many times and was owned by the Hungarian Salomon family until 1943. Currently, it is under the administration of the Association of Art Historians. This medieval fortress is located on the right bank of Czorsztyńskie Lake in the village of Niedzica Castle, in the area of Polish Spisz or Zamagurze (Spiš Pieniny).
